On the afternoon of June 7, 2023, the Institute for International and Area Studies of Tsinghua University (IIAS-THU) held Lecture 23 of Liangxiang Forum in Room 205 of the Central Main Building. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Katarzyna Kaczmarska, Lecturer at the School of Social and Political Science, the University of Edinburgh. Yin Zhiguang, Professor at the School of International Relations & Public Affairs, Fudan University and Dr. Catherine Owen, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, the University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus, were the disscussants.

Jointly founded by the IIAS and the Institute of East Asian Studies of Thammasat University, the Bangkok Field Station will provide Tsinghua University and its partner institutions a platform for field studies, promote academic exchanges and cooperation across countries, and explore the development direction and path for area studies.

The lecture was delivered by Zhang Xin, Associate Research Fellow at the School of Politics and International Relations, East China Normal University. Present at the lecture were IIAS faculty members and doctoral students, and scholars and students from Northwest University, China University of Political Science, Zhejiang University, etc.

The lecture was delivered by Chang Yu-tzung, Professor of the Department of Political Science, Director of the Center for East Asia Democratic Studies and Director of the Center for Public Policy and Law, National Taiwan University.

The lecture was delivered by Xu Poling, Research Fellow and Director of the Department of Russian Economy, Institute of Russian, Eastern European & Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

The lecture was delivered by Wang Weichen, Vice Dean and Associate Professor of the School of Law at Shanghai International Studies University, and presided over by Ding Chenxi, Assistant Professor at the IIAS.

The lecture was delivered by Alper Yağcı, Assistant Professor of Boğaziçi University Department of Political Science and winner of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) Outstanding Young Scientist Award, and presided over by Hu Shulei, doctoral student at the IIAS.
