On October 17, 2019, Prof. Jing Jun from the Department of Sociology of Tsinghua University gave a lecture on “Anthropological Fieldwork” at the Institute of International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University, which is the second lecture of “Anthropology Lecture Series”.

On the evening of October 8, 2019, the second session of the Park Economy and Economic Development Lecture Series titled the “Development of China’s Park Economy” was held at Conference Room 205 of the Central Main Building of Tsinghua University. Wang Yong, Associate Professor, Institute of Economics, School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, delivered the speech, which was attended by doctoral students from the Institute of International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University.

On the morning of September 23, 2019, the first session of the Lecture Series on Park Economy and Economic Development titled “Park Economy in the Eyes of the World Bank” was held at the Institute of International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Zeng Zhihua, Senior Expert of the World Bank and presided over by Prof. Wang Yong, Associate Professor of the Institute of Economics, School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University.

On September 20, 2019, the Institute of International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University successfully held a lecture on “Rethinking Area Studies in a Global Framework – Taking Asia Studies as an Example” presented by Professor Tansen Sen of New York University Shanghai and commented by Professor Arunabh Ghosh from Harvard University. Associate Professor Cao Yin from Tsinghua University presided over the event.

On July 10-12, 2019, the first Tsinghua Area Studies Forum hosted by the the Institute of International and Area Studies (IIAS) of Tsinghua University was successfully held at Tsinghua Park.
